Create custom fields

You can create as many custom fields as you need in your customer data platform. Each custom field has a field type, a unique tag and a label name. These field types help define how you will input the data.



Create a custom field

To create a new custom field:

  1. Select your desired audience from the Audiences page
  2. Click on the Custom fields tab
  3. From the list of field types, click to add the specific field:
  4. From here you can give it a name that will be visible to you or your people, and a tag name which should be in full uppercase and can only contain underscores as a special character, any other character will make it invalid and throw an error.
  5. Switch the Required button if you want to make it a required field to be filled by you or your people, and the Visible button if you want to make the field visible by your people either in the web form or the profile preferences page.
